    The Speech, Language & Literacy Centre in Edgecliff, Sydney NSW, Australia, has a vacancy for a qualified Speech Pathologist. Experience in working with children who have learning difficulties is desirable. The centre specialises in the Spalding method and other successful techniques for language processing and literacy development and would offer training in these methods to the successful applicant.     Research Fellowship at the University of Hong Kong - ------------------------------------------------

    A Research Fellow (RF) post is available in the Faculty of Arts, HKU. The Department of Linguistics being part of the Art Faculty is in a position to make recommendations. We will consider researchers in any sub-field of specialisation, as long as it fits in with the department's work, the quality of the applicant's research being the most important consideration.

    The RF post is a salaried post intended to attract 'new blood' researchers who, in addition to enhancing the university's research capacity, is of a calibre to go on to take up career academic positions in this institution or elsewhere. It is expected that successful candidates would normally be within five years of their doctoral (or equivalent) qualification, with at least two years of research experience at the post-doctoral (or equivalent) level. In addition to research, appointees may be asked to undertake some teaching. The appointment will be made on a three-year, fixed-term contract, with a salary scale ranging from HK$31,730 to $49,425. The posts is available immediately.
