    The Department of Linguistics of Queens College, City University of New York, is seeking to fill a tenure-track opening at the Assistant Professor (salary range: $29,931 - $52,213) or Associate Professor (salary range: $39,003 - $62,394) level beginning September 1, 1997. We are seeking a specialist in Applied Linguistics/TESOL to each courses at the undergraduate and master's levels and to place and supervise student teachers in public schools. Candidates should have experience in ESL teacher training and supervision, background in classroom based second language research, language pedagogy, TESOL through the context areas and linguistics and applied linguistics. A serious commitment to research is essential. Ph.D. by September 1, 1997 is required.
