Visiting Assistant Professor (phonology)

The Department of Linguistics at Rutgers University, New Brunswick,
will have a one-year visiting position at the Assistant Professor
level for academic year 1997-1998. Applicants must have the Ph. D. by
August, 1997, with a specialization in phonology. Duties will include
the teaching of 2 courses per semester, including introductory and
advanced graduate phonology as well as undergraduate phonology.

Japanese Visiting Assistant Professor Position
Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana
The Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures is seeking a visiting
assistant professor to teach Japanese courses for the 1997-1998 academic
year. Teaching load consists of 3 courses per semester, mainly
language courses, plus courses of the applicant's expertise. Ph.D or Ed.D
applicants are prefered, but ABD candidates can be considered. Preference
will be given to those who specialize in Linguistics, Foreign Language
Education, Literature and/or relevant areas with teaching experience at the
