Visiting Positions in Syntax and Semantics
The Department of Linguistics at the University of Massachusetts,
Amherst, invites applications for two temporary visiting positions at
the Assistant Professor level during 1997-98, one for one year, and
one for one semester. It is anticipated that one of these appointments
will be in semantics and the other in syntax, but it is not determined
in advance which is which, and either position is open to candidates
with strength in both areas. Responsibilities will include teaching
undergraduate and graduate courses. Ph.D. required by time of
appointment. Review of applications will begin May 1, 1997, and
continue until the positions are filled.
