    Assistant Professor of English, East Tennessee State University. Appointment begins 1-1-98. Successful applicant must have training in TESL and linguistics with work experience in an ESL program. Ph.D. in English or linguistics required. Primary responsibilities will include teaching linguistics, history of the English language, and ESL courses, and coordinating ESL activities such as evaluating language proficiency of international students. Ability to teach freshman composition and sophomore literature is expected. Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.
