Full-time EFL Instructor in Korea

The Department of English Education at Seowon University in Korea has an
opening position for a full-time EFL instructor. Successful applicants
must be native speakers of English, show excellent writing and speaking
abilities, and have TESOL or EFL/ESL Certificate, MA in linguistics or applied
linguistics. Prior experience in an EFL program is highly preferable.
Terms of Contract:
- Period: Sept 1st, 1997 thru Feb. 1999 (one and a half years) and
renewable.
- 8 week paid vacation a year
- Stipend: 1,500,000 Korean Won (about US$1,700) a month
- Required Hours: 16 hours per week
- Benefits: Housing (a furnished studio) & Health Insurance

Subject: Computational Linguistics
Half-time position of a Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter (BAT IIa)
at the Institute for Computational Linguistics of the University of
Heidelberg/Germany
from 1 October 1997 for 3 years.
Main occupation:
4 hours teaching per semester of Computer Science and/or Computational
Linguistics.
Acquisition of NLP projects, possibly providing the financing of the
other half of the position.
Qualifications:
Preferably Ph.D. in Computational Linguistics (in this case a later
promotion to a Hochschulassistent position is possible) or else academic
degree (Diplom or M.A.) in Computational Linguistics or Computer science/
Artificial Intelligence
