    The MATEFL program at Bilkent University in Ankara, Turkey is seeking a Visiting Assistant Professor. We have an immediate opening for an individual with a Ph.D in TESOL, Applied Linguistics, SLA or related field, and college-level experience in courses such as testing, materials development, sociolinguistics, methodology, and research methods. Responsibilies include teaching two courses per semester to 18 Turkish teachers of English, and advising students on theses. Send a CV and 3 letters of reference or contacts.     Professor of Modern English Language and Linguistics (full-time)

    Applications are invited for the Chair of Modern English Language and Linguistics. We are looking for a candidate with a strong research profile in one or more linguistic domains. An interest in corpus linguistics would be an advantage. Previous success in obtaining research grants and a demonstrated ability to provide academic leadership are desirable.

    The appointee will contribute to the English Language and Literature programme of the School of Language and Culture by teaching English linguistics courses and taking active interest in language proficiency courses. The language of instruction is English, but the appointee will be expected to have a working knowledge of Dutch within two years, so as to be able to function in local and national research organisations.
