appointment in the department of Linguistics. Ability to teach
graduate courses in structure of modern Russian and history of the
Russian language, and undergraduate introduction to linguistics,

Assistant Professor of TESOL
The Department of Language and Foreign Studies in the College of Arts
and Sciences at American University, Washington DC, invites
applications for the tenure-track position of Assistant Professor of
TESOL to begin in Fall 1999. With over thirty years of TESOL
experience, American University offers an MA in TESOL, a Certificate in
TESOL, a combined Bachelor's/Master's program, and an annual Summer
TESOL Institute.
Responsibilities will include teaching courses in linguistics and TESOL,
directing the Master's, Certificate, and combined Bachelor's/Master's
programs; engaging in an active program of research and publication; and
rendering service at the departmental, college, and university levels.
Candidates must have a PhD in TESOL, Applied Linguistics, Linguistics,
or other appropriate discipline, and a record of excellence in teaching
and research.

Chonnam National University invites applications for a position in
