    Assistant Professor in TESOL pedagogy and contrastive rhetoric. Tenure track, to begin Fall 1999. We seek an outstanding scholar/teacher who will actively contribute to our graduate programs in Linguistics/TESOL and Composition/Rhetoric, as well as a pro-fessional writing program and an undergraduate English composition program which responds to the needs of an ethnically and linguistically diverse population.     Applications are invited for the post of Research Fellow at the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Wolverhampton, funded by the Leverhulme Trust.

    You will conduct research into press representations and private perceptions of middle age in Birmingham and the Black Country between c 1960 and 1995. You should have an honours degree in Linguistics or History (or cognate discipline), postgraduate research experience and ideally a PhD in Discourse Analysis or Social History (or cognate discipline). Salary in the range GBP 14,941 - 18,077 pa.
