Cornell's Department of Linguistics has a one-semester visiting position in
semantics open for Fall 1998. The person hired will teach two courses: (1)
an undergraduate course that introduces both syntax and semantics and (2) a
topics in semantics course at the graduate/advanced undergraduate level.
Because of the lateness of this development, we are obliged to move fast.
Please send cv and sample publications directly to Semantics Search,
Linguistics Department, Morrill Hall, Cornell, NY 14853-4701 and ask three
referees to send letters of recommendation to the same address. Materials
may also be sent electronically to Sally McConnell-Ginet at
smg9cornell.edu. Preferential consideration will be given to materials
received by May 8, 1998. Cornell is an equal opportunity/affirmative
action employer.
